Polyethylene Perimeter Barrier Strip
SoundWise™ PBS 1560 is perimeter barrier strip designed to isolate the flooring perimeter when grouting floors, use as a sound isolation barrier or to accomplish an expansion joint around the perimeter of your flooring. PBS 1560 stays put under heavy use and construction conditions. PBS 1560 is easily installed.

Installation
- Cured Concrete
- APA Grade Plywood

- APA approved interior subfloors
Floor Installation–
1. Clean, sweep or vacuum floor of all debris.
2. Check that the floor is clean, dry and level.
3. Place PBS vertically against the perimeter of floor.
4. Lay flooring to the PBS.
5. Check that 1/4” expansion joint around the perimeter of the floor has been accomplished.
Installation for Sound Abatement–
1. Clean, sweep or vacuum floor of all debris.
2. Remove any baseboards from the perimeter of the flooring.
3. Place PBS vertically against the perimeter of floor.
4. Reinstall the baseboards.
